Elen Sahin is an attorney with a focus on migration law, as well as criminal and family law. She has experience both in Switzerland and internationally. Her professional roles have included positions in courts, law firms, and international organizations, always with a strong emphasis on human rights issues.
Her legal career began at the District Court and in a law firm in Lucerne. Subsequently, she worked as a court clerk at both the District Court, focusing on criminal and family law, and at the Court of Appeal in Lucerne in the family law division. Furthermore, she gained in-depth knowledge of international migration law while working as a legal counselor in an international organization, always with a strong emphasis on human rights issues. Most recently, she worked as a lawyer for the Zurich Legal Advice Office for Asylum Seekers.
