Elen Sahin is an attorney with a focus on migration law, as well as criminal and family law. She has experience both in Switzerland and internationally. Her professional roles have included positions in courts, law firms, and an international organization, always with a strong emphasis on human rights issues.
Her legal career began at the District Court and in a law firm in Lucerne. She later worked as a law clerk at the District Court, focusing on criminal and family law, and in the family law division of the Court of Appeal in Lucerne. Furthermore, she gained in-depth knowledge of international migration law while working as a legal counselor at the International Organization for Migration (IOM – UN Migration) in Türkiye. Most recently, she worked as a lawyer for the Zurich Legal Advice Office for Asylum Seekers.
